A day of fly tying....

Sometimes, getting me to sit down and start tying is like pulling teeth, ..... but when I do, I can't quit!
Here are some of the latest ones ....

Two of Kelly Galloup's flies. They are called the SEX DUNGEON and BUTT MONKEY (hey... Kelly named them not me LOL) ….

These are some spiders with rubber legs ….

And last but not least some Holographic Chironomids ….

Four of a Kind....

We hit the Uinta's for a few hours Monday before the storm hit. It was windy the whole time and I am more impressed with the Escape. Might not be a pretty tube to some, but it is a beauty on the water. Anyway, I headed for the far corner and was catching Tigers by the dozens.

Here are a couple of nice sized ones (species number one) …

…. then there were Rainbows (number two species)….

…. and Albinos (number three species….) but these slippery guys were camera shy so no pictures today...
but the coolest catch of the day was a double ….

.... a Grayling on the lead fly (species number four species) ….

…. and a little tiger on the dropper ….

…. then I went with Kelly Galloups idea of big flies mean big fish ….

Yeah, riiiiight …. LOL

Pioneer Weekend 2010....

Headed north to Idaho for a nice four day weekend....

We arrived around noon and noticed a friend (Cindy Pierce) was already on the water and hooking up. We leveled the trailer, then grabbed the pontoons and hit the lake.

My first hook up was the best of the weekend. A 26" long 15" wide Kamloop:

Many fish to come, but this was the trophy.

Got some great samples of their diet:

Orange Scuds:

Burgundy Chironomid and Blood worms:

And Leeches:

Here are a few of the catches from the weekend:

Even Mojo was a hooking up regularly:

All were revived and released:

Got the feeling my boat was sitting too long:

The last night there was this FULL MOON and a beautiful end to a fabulous weekend ....

.... and TRAVELOCITY rated this a bodacious trip ....
