Day started off for me at 8:00 a.m.
It was a day of meeting people and having another opportunity to do some fly tying along side some fo the the greats in the sport...
I was also asked to do a furled leader demonstration. At around 1:00 p.m. I did the demonstration in front of another very receptive and enthusiastic crowd....
Just before 2 p.m. I headed outside to try my hand at the casting contest. It involved different targets at different distances, then a distance cast. On top of the restrictions on the course, we had swirling wind to deal with, but I gave it my best ... and ...
It paid off as I placed first...what a great feeling ...
what a great ending to a PERFECT day ....

You are still working hard. Hope to see you in Idaho Falls in a couple of weeks.
Absolutely! Looking forward to seeing you as well
Great job on winning the contest despite the conditions. My wifes grandmother lives in Ogden, UT. Can you tell me any places near there that have decent fishing? I'm planning on visiting in the summer.
